I think I heard that highlights are notes. Sometimes you might want to search all the highlighted portions of a text.
But I see no way to put them into a notebook. How could I search my highlights?
How could I search my highlights?
The Search function supports this:
Highlight Searching is outlined in the Logos helpfile here
But one other way of deriving the syntax is using the Information Tool (assuming you are starting from a highlight in your text).
In the screenshot below I have clicked on the word beginning in Genesis 1:1 and the Highlights section of the Information Tool shows that it has a Green highlight from the Solid Colors palette.
If I click the name of the palette, it generates an Inline Search for all highlights in that palette (top example). If I click the name of the highlight itself, it generates an Inline Search for that highlight in that palette (bottom example)
They are stored in the same location as your notes. You can start to filter out your notes by selecting 'highlights'. Then a bit further down in the filters, you can choose to filter the highlights with the book as well.
@Graham Criddle Thanks, Graham. You have fancy syntax here.
By chance, do you know where the documentation is that explains this.
I have not found reading Logos' documentation helpful, so I stopped looking.
thank you
I learned some things. that's always a good thing
While we are on the topic of highlights, don't forget that you can view them within the resource as well.
@Donovan R. Palmer thank you

I am still having issues with copying a bunch of verses. I understand that I go to Share —> Passage List, but then after that the passage list is blank and wants me to manually add verses. It also says I can drag and drop the verses, which I would love to if I could select the verses, but there again doesn't seem to be a…
I needed to restart Logos, and now when I tried to do an "All" search, that AI thing is there. How do I get rid of it?
“Some people see things as they are and ask 'Why?' Others...” I'm probably, sadly, more in that first group. Can't help but wonder how a reverse interlinear assigns 2 different transliterations for such similar constructions in Zc 5.2. Even in English, “it's length” and “it's width” are similar; but it's harder to conceive…
I have a couple of books that always crash Logos. I read the books a while ago and created Notes while reading, but if I try to go to the Note anchors in the books in question, Logos crashes. Same if I try to open them in the Library. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
These three resouces downloaded earlier today: Today in Christian History Daily Stories, Daily Quotes, and Daily Devotionals. The licenses are temporary. Where can I learn more about them? I can’t seem to find them for sale on Logos … maybe I’m not searching correctly!
