Burnett's third book, this examines one of the most profound concepts presented in the Bible: why God hides Himself and is often absent. I bought my hard copy around the same time I bought Burnett's book on the word ':elohhiym, back during Covid. The book has positive reviews by Mark Smith, Patrick Miller, and James Crenshaw, names Logos users should be familiar with. This theme is also discussed in books by Rea (Evil and the Hiddenness of God), Cupitt (Christ and the Hiddenness of God), Godzieba (A Theology of the Presence and Absence of God), Freedman (God as an Absent Character in Biblical Hebrew Narrative), and Freedman (The Disappearance of God), all of which I also have in hard copy. Not sure if any of those are in Logos or not, but they should be.
