I am looking for a current list of suggested resources for my library I have seen some older re commendations but I would like to see something more current. Any suggestions?
What kind of thing, on what topics or areas? Without knowing, it's a pretty vague request
There is a Facebook group for Logos Book Recommendations
Thanks Ben and John. Yes Ben I agree, it is a pretty vague request. I was not looking for suggestion for specific resources. I have been watching some videos in Youtube by Carmen Joy Imes where she is recommending resources for biblical study - "My Top 6 Books On OT Backgrounds," "My Top 6 Books On NT Backgrounds," "My Top 6 Books For Reading Biblical Narrative," "My Top 12 Bible Commentaries For Beginners," "My Top 6 Books On Biblical Poetry," etc. So I was thinking I wonder who else has created a list of suggested books for biblical study. The best commentary website of course lists commentaries in order of suggested importance, this helps somewhat. Also if you click on a commentary at the top of the list you will find a number of lists in which that commentary is mentioned. This gives me a pretty good idea of the more helpful commentaries. Then Tim Challies at his website has a number of different lists of biblical commmentaries and other resources. What I have that is also helpful is to look at Mobile Ed courses and take note of the resources that are listed in the course. I have found a number of other reputable websites that have lists of suggested resources for study. I think John Piper and the Gospel Coalition have lists of suggested books as well.
That is basically what I was looking for - any lists of recommended books or courses for biblical study that I may not be aware of. Of course I welcome any suggestions for individual resources that others have found helpful as well. My goal is to create my own list of resources for biblical study and research. I hope this helps to explain what I am looking for. Thank you for your help.
