@GaoLu are you using a VPN or Proxy Server? On a different network from the last time you used chat? Any firewall changes on your network since the last time?
You can also e-mail them. Once I had to return a book (when they first had it so you could buy through the desktop program with one click). I simply sent them an e-mail and got it refunded.
Thanks. I necessarily use a VPN (due to travel locations), though I did shut it off and reload the page without it. Same results. Location could vary quite a bit doing all that. I did email Logos and received prompt service. No return, but that's fair. I was over 30 days. I mean, it was all of $2.99, and Logos loads me with other freebies.

If you are using a VPN, sometimes turning it off isn't enough. If you want to try and get chat working without the error for the future, since you got your imminent problem resolved:
Assuming you are on Windows: flush the DNS cache and reset socket bindings:
ipconfig /flushdns netsh winsock reset
then reboot your computer. Should work then.
If it still fails:
1) ensure proxy server is indeed off in Windows - Settings/Network&Internet/Proxy - use Proxy Server should be OFF.
2) Does the DNS server being used look like theirs or your ISPs? Sometimes the proxy servers leave their DNS servers around.

Thanks for all that guidance. I always hope it won't take quite so much to do a little task, but sometimes it does. I have struggled with VPN's of all kinds in various (shall we say difficult) countries, so I know your task list can be spot-on.
Don't feel bad! I was having a rough time figuring out why my web editor wasn't working, and that was the culprit! It's super easy to overlook.

I just noticed that the most recent update of my desktop Logos (legacy) has had the "fuzzy" search option removed, leaving only the option to subscribe for "Smart" search for other than "Precise" search. Is the former fuzzy search no longer available? If it still available, how to do I restore it as an option?
Bibleworks allowed users to choose from portions of the Bible that had descriptive headers. Example: Exodus 2:1 - Birth and Youth of Moses Logos only lists chapters with no descriptive headings. How can I get the same function that Bibleworks offered in Logos?
Are there any plans for the Smart search to include searching my Notes as well as my books/resources? I recently asked it specifically to search my Notes, in hopes of finding information I may have dealt with in the past, but it indicated that was not possible. Thanks for any update. Dennis Toll
