I would assume that many users have projects in which they repeatedly use several specific search ranges and favorite collections. Saved ranges are not quite "it" because one can wish to save as many ranges for later reuse as they wish. Yet during a certain period of time, one may be concentrating on a Bible book or a chapter or several different ranges. Being able to pin them (and unpin them later) would be quite convenient.
I realize that there are some ways to do a bit of this. For instance, one can select "send searches here" in the search window to keep a search panel open with its defined range and target resources. However, that is not good enough for complex studies that must be able to navigate between several oft-used ranges, not just keep one window set to one. Likewise, it is possible to play with the names of collections to bring them to the top of the list. But here again, this is patchwork.
It just would be much simpler to be able to pin. It would also be convenient to be able to pin other search parameters such as search fields. Instead of searching manually for "title" "large text" and "topic," it would be much nicer to have them pinned for quick reuse.
