Is it possible to use Strong's Dictionary to look up words in Bible with similar roots or meanings?

Is there an option in Strong's Dictionary to use it as a lookup in Scripture? In other words, can Strong give me a list of words with their corresponding verses that share the G code I select? For example, I click on "G2631" (condemnation), then I am presented with all of the other instances where "G2631" appears or its root. Is that possible in Strong?

The bigger question is, why would you want to do that?

Strong's is a pre-computer-age tool. It has some weaknesses (that do not destroy it) as a dictionary, but it has bigger weaknesses as a tool for bible word study when compared to a dozen or so much better electronic options. Even some pretty simple searches in Logos will get you what you need without reference to a dictionary. And if you do them by lemma, you can access some much better dictionaries like BDAG, LN, etc. IMO, sending someone to Strong's today is like sending someone to a card catalog when they could do a gooble search.

I hate sounding critical of a classic reference, and I used Strong's for over 30 years before getting into some better options. I still have a copy on my bookshelf, well-marked. But I haven't touched it since the early 90s…there were just too many better options since then.

The problem with a lot of "dictionaries" is the baggage of "their doctrinal views" that they bring. While Strongs as you say, is not up to date… it was pretty good at being objectionable in its view points…. that's one thing that I think Strongs is good for.

I personally don't like the biases that many dictionaries and such put into their work. A bias is a way of swaying the truth to someones form of what the truth is.

Edit: But then again, many people today do not look for "objective truth". They just want to prove what they think is right….

Some Strongs dictionaries show verses sharing a Strongs number. But most show examples; not all.

You're much better off (if you want to just use Strongs), to have a Bible that includes Strongs numbers (a Logos reverse-interlinear is the best example; a Logos greek interlinear, similarly). With these, you can right-click a work, select the Strongs number, and do a search on the full Bible (either hebrew or greek).

But as Doc indicates, if you use Logos much (it's quite easy, after some introduction), you'll get more from using 'lemmas'. They're not particularly readable, but Logos does all the work.
