Hello, I am a dedicated Logos user from South Korea. As a Korean pastor, I frequently rely on BDAG and TDNT for my biblical exegesis. These two dictionaries are considered essential resources for most Korean pastors and scholars who strive for a deep understanding of the biblical text.
However, the primary challenge we face is that these resources are currently available in Logos only in English. While the built-in translation feature is helpful, it often carries the risk of mistranslation, which can limit our ability to grasp the author’s original intent and the subtle nuances of the Greek language.
I would like to point out that high-quality Korean translations of these works already exist in print. Specifically:
BAAR (Bauer’s Greek-Korean Lexicon): The complete Korean translation of BDAG.
The Kittel Dictionary (Korean TDNTA): The Korean translation of the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (Abridged version).
If these two Korean editions were released on the Logos platform, it would be met with immense enthusiasm from the Korean pastoral community. I personally am ready to purchase them immediately upon release.
Since these dictionaries are already fully translated and published in Korea, I believe adding them to your library would be a highly efficient and successful project. I earnestly request that you consider partnering with the Korean publishers to bring these vital resources to Logos.
Thank you for your constant efforts to provide excellent tools for ministry.
