Hi all, I'm reading the NIGTC for Luke 23:48, and the reference to Metzger 182 is confusing to me, it does not seem to relate to the topic or passage under discussion. Any help is appreciated:
The crowds express their feelings by beating their breasts… a sign of repentance… One or two MSS and the Gospel of Peter 25 make their act into one of pity for themselves as they recognise the fate that lies ahead of them for their sins (see Metzger, 182); this is not quite the same thing as repentance.

6:23 ἄλλα ἦλθεν πλοιά[ρια] ἐκ Τιβεριάδος {C}
Amid the multiplicity of variants, the text of 𝔓75, supported by several other widely scattered representative witnesses, was regarded by a majority of the Committee as the reading that best explains the origin of the others. As for the variation involving πλοῖα and πλοιάρια, in order to represent the balance of evidence and transcriptional probabilities it was decided to print πλοιά[ρια].
6:23 εὐχαριστήσαντος τοῦ κυρίου {B}
On the one hand, the rarity of κύριος in referring to Jesus in Johannine narrative and the absence of the clause from certain Western witnesses (D 091 ita, , syrc, arm geo1 Diatessaronl, ) may suggest that the words are a gloss that crept into the other texts. On the other hand, however, in view of the widespread currency of the words in most text-types, a majority of the Committee was reluctant to omit them.
6:27 ὑμῖν δώσει {A}
Several witnesses (א D itd, , , syrc, Chrysostom) read the present tense, which appears to be the result of assimilation to δίδωσιν ὑμῖν in ver. 32. The reading ὑμῖν δώσει, which is strongly supported by 𝔓75 A B W Θ f 28 33 565 700 al, is clearly to be preferred.
6:36 [με] {C}
A few witnesses (א A ita, , , syrc, ) lack με. It is possible that this is the original reading and that με has crept into the other witnesses from the context. In this case Jesus’ statement, “I said to you that you saw and yet do not believe,” clearly refers to the signs that the people had witnessed (ver. 26). On the other hand, a majority of the Committee, impressed by the age and diversity of the external attestation supporting με, preferred to retain the word in the text, but to enclose it within square brackets. p 183

It makes no sense to me. Is this the wrong reference?
