Someone I loved very much was raised Catholic and lapsed; I'm not Catholic, and I like reading the Bible a lot more, but she was patient and humored me while I devoted my energy to it. She generally didn't like reading as much as me, but I read to her from the Bible in her final weeks, helping to keep her company. After I found this Bible a couple of years after her death, I purchased it on Kindle and dedicated it to her.
I can't believe that a Catholic Bible in this translation is here. It's so great, particularly for Catholics in this situation. The text is more readable for people who are interested in having a bible to read and use in sharing story time, but are less academically inclined and only so devoted themselves. It includes the apocrypha, and there are introductions for each book of the Bible.
