Hello. For the first time in 10 years I find this messagge "Your current operating system does not support the desktop app" (see attached file). What's wrong and how is it fixed?
What version of which desktop OS do you have?
My PC works with windows 10 fully updated
Logos system requirements - shown here - recognises that Windows 10 is no longer supported - but also state that Logos should continue to run on Windows 10 for some time.
And in a recent post Bradley said that Logos 47 should run on Windows 10 assuming a fairly recent build (20H2 or later)
What Windows 10 build do you have?
Versione 22H2 (Build SO 19045.6466).
In any case, should not Logos inform users of this problem? Or better, to find a solutio not to force thousand of people to change at once their PC
That’s strange - in that, according to Bradley’s post - that OS should still run Logos
Can you upload the Logos.log file after a failed startup attempt?
Were you seeing this message at https://www.logos.com/get-started ?
If so, it looks like it was a problem with that page; thanks for reporting it. Our official support policy is https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007506971-Logos-Minimum-System-Requirements
It's an absolute nonsense that one should get rid of a good functioning PC e buy a new one in order to run Logos. And
are we condemned to repeat the same operation every time windows upgrade?
Looking at it from a different perspective - I don’t think we can expect Logos to continue supporting its products indefinitely on versions of operating systems that are no longer supported by the suppliers of those operating systems.
I think Bradley's needed change may be the issue.
The desktop won't update to the current version with older platforms. My Windows 7 is still running Logos (v7).
It is not really Logos causing the problems, it is Microsoft, forcing millions of people to update to Windows 11 when their current hardware is fine, but cannot qualify for the update.
the best alternative is to switch to macOS, but that requires buying a new computer and learning a new operating system for most people.
you do have the ability to continue running logos on Windows 10, you just will not be able to stay current with the software.
the only reason a person would want to stay current with Lagos these days is if they are users of the new AI features which is where the majority of the new development is going on.

Per the support article I linked: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007506971-Logos-Minimum-System-Requirements : "We expect new versions of Logos to be able to be installed on Windows 10 into 2026. We will try to give at least 12 weeks’ notice before ending this courtesy"
Logos v47 can still be downloaded and installed on Windows 10 computers.
We strongly recommend that you use an OS version that is supported by its manufacturer (e.g., to be able to get security patches) but as of January 2026 you do not have to upgrade to Windows 11 or "get rid of a good functioning PC" to keep running Logos.

Hi everyone. I'm starting a project that requires multiple notes with identical text, labels, and tags, however each note will have unique verse anchors. Rather than creating a new note each time, I used the "Duplicate" function (Ctrl-click on the note tab, and select "Duplicate"). This results in a new note that exactly…
Hi, is there any way to open Strong's Concordance and scroll through to adjacent numbers?
This came in e-mail from Logos tonight, for "See What We're Reading" "It can be surprising when a NT quote from the OT doesn’t match the wording of the OT passage in our Bibles. Sometimes the quote better matches the Septuagint, which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures. The Lexham English Septuagint (2nd…
This year, after creating another Reading plan, I notice there is no notification coming up if I've missed a day. Can someone please tell me if there's a setting that I've missed or is this the new normal with no notifications. Also, I see no Reading Plan listing in Documents but I got this one from clicking on the "New"…
I use Word, but same is truth for Google Docs, I get the result from Smart Search and now also Study Assistant with currently only 2-4 references. Then I usually copy and paste to the Word alongside my other research. The foot note number never are pasted in a format recognised by Word so they need to be manually edited.…
