Please Diagnose My Simple Syntax Search

I'm not new to Logos, but I am new to syntax searching. Trying to do a simple syntax search with 1 John 2:5 as the basis. I want to see where else in the NT we have the phrase, "By this we know." Of course, I want the Greek construction, not just when the translators used those English words. I was able to successfully search for "by this". By success, I mean that the search yielded results. When I try to add on the Greek verb. My search has no results. I've tried changing up how I structured things, but to no avail. I'm hoping that you can tell where I went awry by just looking at the search structure below. What makes most sense to my puny brain is how I have it now, but obviously, it's wrong.

I think you don't need the construct search for this. I used a simply Morph search and it works well:

KeenUser…Thank you! This does accomplish what I was after. But I would like to ask (you and anyone else), why did my syntax search fail? Am I trying to do something it was not meant to do? Clearly, KeenUser found another way (and easier too, I might add).

If done properly, would my syntax search yield the same results? Can someone succinctly explain the main difference between a morph search and a syntax search?
