How do you achieve Smooth Scrolling on Desktop app?

On the desktop app, I cannot figure out how to have the text scroll smoothly. I have an iPad running iPadOS 16.7.10 (nearly four years old) and it can scroll through the text smoothly, whether it's a Bible or a resource. But on the desktop app, the text skips several lines and it seems to be designed that way. Here's a video showing what I'm getting. I want the Desktop App to behave like the iPad app. I have hardware acceleration turned on, Paged view has been set to off, but turning it on changes it page by page. The red circle was added by me in post, so sorry that it doesn't keep up exactly.

I went through about 16 emails back and forth with Logos support and they suggested to post here for an answer

Computer specs are a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 1070 Ti. This computer is capable of editing video and gaming, so it shouldn't be a performance bottleneck.

Why is the iPad able to do this but my desktop cannot? Am I missing a feature somewhere?

I do not know how to solve your issue, but for me the desktop app scrolls smoothly without jumping.

If I have parallel texts in one window they jump one verse at a time, but the main text scrolls smoothly.

Could be your monitor; most support 60Hz, your iPad is probably 120Hz.
Eh, after watching the clip, it seems unlikely. I too have complained about stuttering. I have the impression that Logos doesn't manage hardware resources very well, or take advantage of them .

KeenUser, are you saying your desktop app scrolls like the iPad version does?

I've had this issue on the three computers that I have installed it on, so it seems to be more than a one device quirk.

I almost wonder if the desktop app and the mobile app teams are completely separate. I found that my iPad app has the option for a resource to be linked but just follow another resource. But the desktop app only has the ability for the linked resources to follow each other.

That means that if I link a commentary and a Bible together, on the iPad I can scroll up and down to reference verses without losing my position in the commentary, but on desktop the commentary will always follow the Bible. Not as useful.

On this video you will see how it scrolls for me. If I click on the down arrow, it scrolls quite smoothly, though jumping about a half line at a time. But if i scroll on the touchpad with two fingers, it scrolls just like on an iPad.

KeenUser that's exactly what I'm trying to get. And that is on the Windows desktop app?

If so, I wonder what's different between out installations.

I have this issue as well on Windows 11.

Perhaps someone knows of a fix.

Yes, that's right. I'm on windows desktop app, latest version, max subscription (not sure if it makes any difference).

The only thing I can think of is that my PC has a touch screen (though i did not use the touch screen on that video demo).

I can't think of any reason why that would be the factor that made a difference, especially since you didn't use the touchscreen. Maybe a dev from Logos who has more access than us could shed some insight?
