Study Assistant never gives me more than 3 citations

When I run a study assistant search, I seldom get more than 3 citations to materials. This is true even if I ask comprehensive (broad) questions. I’ve gotten 4 a few times. Is that what I should expect? Is there anything that I can do to canvas my library more broadly?

Just to add this: I, of course, appreciate that a conversation in study assistant is not the same as conducting a search across the library. I guess I just believe that other resources might be brought to bear when SA is responding to a question posed of it.

So far, that seems to be a limitation in SA, but it is still a work in progress. Version 49 has been promised to add the ability to specify collections for SA to search. So improvements are coming.

you should check out the Web App, it already allows you to narrow down to a single resource, or to a type of resource when using study assistant.

i’m not wanting to narrow it down. I want the opposite. I would like more than just 3 references if there is more discussion in my library.

Nevertheless, the ability to narrow this down so granularly is great to know and will be helpful. So, thank you for sharing that.

Create a link which opens the reference in the desktop Logos
