I've decided to bite the bullet after watching the Livestream last week with Drenna Heiser and Scott Lindsey, and I'm getting my two teens each their own premium subscription with the 60 day free trial and free Bible Doctrine Mobile Ed class.

My reasoning is this: With the new Study Assistant and greatly improved Factbook which suggests questions to be asked into Study Assistant, my two kids will be able to start exploring scripture and use AI in a very safe and helpful way with the basic tools for studying on their own. In addition, they can make their own notes and highlights completely separate from all my stuff. The premium subscription is half the price of any commercial AI product and I can be confident that they will be getting good, solid information and not craziness.
To be honest, I would have never even considered getting Logos for my teens before the advent of Study Assistant. Logos was simply way too difficult to get into, and completely uninteresting in any way for the average teen.
NOW, because they can start with asking questions, and build conversations from those questions, this has become something which I will draw my kids into learning and reading biblical things on their own. In my opinion, Study Assistant is world changing as a tool for getting teens into studying biblical things. I had them both watch the livestream from YouTube (I skipped the first 20 minutes when showing it to them) and both of them were extremely excited to get Logos on their own laptops and start asking questions. I purchased each of them the NLT for their Logos because that's the translation they prefer for reading on their own. Keeping the hurdles low for getting into personal Bible reading and study is a huge plus for me as a Dad.
As a fringe benefit, they can both now begin adding 4 free books to their own library every month (the free book on the 1st, the free book on the 15th, the subscriber free book, and the Verbum free book). In a matter of a few years they will begin to have their own personal library for very low cost, and they can buy the occasional book, commentary or collection on their own as sales occur.
