My question is for everyone: I have used my New American Standard Bible for over 25 years.
I am looking for a Chronological Bible that is New American Standard. This is the version that my pastor tells me gets pretty darn close to Greek and Hebrew. English version please, I can only get closer by learning the language.
I wish Logos had them, I need to be told about what I am looking for as this is Bible events from the beginning to Christ's returns.
Things like what I would never include as a pastor might. I'm getting my master's in pastoral counseling and addiction recovery. My undergraduate degree is Next-Generation Ministry for pastoring student ministry. I do not meet the qualifications in Timothy and Titus since I have been divorced.
At 57 God sent me back to school, I am now 60 and after Summer I have 18 credits to complete and graduate. God has let me know He wants me working with students in addiction recovery. He is keeping the rest until He is ready for me to know.
I ask about the Chronological Bible because I know students especially young ones always want to know why. I want to be able to explain when I am asked. There are 2 Hermeneutics classes outside of my program, my plans are to take the undergraduate class as well as the masters. I just can't seem to learn enough, and I will stop learning when life ends.
I'm not sure how much Chronological Bibles provides for beginners intermediate and pastors in advance. I would buy one that is for an intermediate.
My new pastor uses a King James Bible and I follow along with mine which the words are so different.
God blessed me with being able to own a Logos package, I am so ready to jump out of my seat the way in which it opens God's Word for me.
Please fill me in on likes and dislikes and the advantages of owning one. God bless you, in Christ. David Brown
Is there an easy way to know when I have a message? I am still learning to navigate such a gift that is worth more to me than anything.
