Is this in the ESV?
There is a known issue with the ESV when there is an idiom involved previously in the verse. In this case it is "in the service of." You can see in the surface text of the ribbon that the surface text is in italics - this indicates an idiom. This seems to throw off the alignment in the rest of the verse in sympathetic highlighting, and apparently in this pop-up -- even though the surface text and Greek text line up properly in the ribbon.

The surrounding words ("in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.") in this verse Heb 2:17 are also off. I think this is a bug in the ESV interlinear.

Thanks Richard. I had somehow missed that known bug. Thanks for pointing it out.
