Why not do a pole on the demand for CS Lewis material. maybe a demonstration of how big the demand migh be would motivate the family?

The entire works of CS Lewis have long been something Logos has been wanting to put in their format, but whoever owns the copyright (the estate of CS Lewis and/or Harper-Collins?) has not been releasing permission yet.
Maybe once they see how much the Logos book format has taken over the world of Christian book publishing they will come on their knees and beg Logos to take it!

I aagree with everyone else. I cannot think of another Christian Author that would add more to my library than C.S. Lewis.

I will try to be useful - for example I will note for the original poster that:
At the top of a forum is a box with the words ‘SEARCH THIS SITE’
Enter the subject you are interested in see if “”WE”” have said anything on it before.
[Note that “”WE”” is a technical term meaning anyone that has posted]
[Sometimes the list gets sooooooooo long that nothing useful can be found
but SEARCH can be very useful]
Some times “”WE”” go back to the old thread and sometimes a new one gets started.
You might try SEARCH for Goggle [as used on this site] - it will give other ways to search
I should have said that the first time - We can talk about my being hired when I get better [as in giving all the details the first time]

I'm looking forward to 7000, hoping that Logos has a giveaway to commemorate. [:D]

Here's more info on how to use Google to search the forums. It's much better than the forums' own lame search feature.

OK, well maybe I can take you on as an apprentice. [;)] But eventually I'm hoping I can have someone who can just search for my previous replies and repost those and then I won't ever have to answer the same questions again... Actually, I'm going to start directing all new users to Mark Barnes's fantastic new video tutorial series and then they won't have ANY questions left after watching those.

It is my understanding that Lewis' stepson Douglas Gresham holds these copyrights and is very careful with them.

Can't really blame him considering the way Tolkien's works have been prostituted over the years...

That's very true. Though Tolkien said himself that he owed much of his success to the unlicensed paperback publishing of Lord of the Rings in the States...maybe Lewis' estate could take a lesson!
Anyhow, I too am anxiously (or eagerly, rather? I said 'anxious' and Philippians 4 popped into my head
) awaiting the day that Lewis' works are added to our wonderful library.

Well now Lewis's works have been prostituted in the last few years, and Douglas Gresham has allowed it:

Making all his books available in Logos format would surely not be as controversial nor as contrary to Lewis's own vision as the movies have been.

Absolutely agree.
I just am thinking about all the different methods in which Tolkien's works have been abused, especially after the Hobbit cartoon came out several decades ago. One could argue that this is inevitable with any extremely popular classic adventure series. They just seem to lend themselves very well to exploitation. As a matter of fact my daughter's favorite video game from years ago was the based on the Hobbit, although it was extremely well done.
As well, Tolkien himself took Lewis to task when he began writing for children. Felt it wasn't the best use of his talent. Seems ironic, huh?
