Confused...
I updated my laptop to B7 then had 1.9gb of resources to download, excellent SUCCESS, just about to put B8 on
I updated my desktop to B7 last night and no sign of any updates or indexing unless it did the whole download, install and reindex while I was asleep....
I have just installed B8, so where have the 1.9gb of books gone since last night.... Is it a failure??? I dont know, but expected the desktop to download the same resources (path not shared).
how can I tell if theres a problem or not...???

Update; OK something is messed up..
I updated Desktop to Beta9, and yes its now finally downloading the resources for B8, so yes there is a problem, somewhere

There was a bug (fixed in Beta 9) that could prevent the system from downloading updated resources; it's quite possible that updating to Beta 9 got you past this bug and started downloading the resources again.
