Many have mentioned that Logos should implement a system that Z used to use in Pradis of "driver" books. Ie, If my NIV is the driver, I can attach commentaries to it which change their location based on the NIV reference I am looking at.
That works (kind of) like the current Logos A/B/C etc link set. Problem is, if I change my location in the commentary, the Bible also changes as does everything else linked to it. Crazy annoying at times.
The other day I happened to notice "Follow" in the information window (it also appears in tools like Text Comparison). I made a mental note to self: "cool! Do this for commentaries, next time I am studying a passage." and I wondered why no one thought of using "follow", and instead asked Logos to create "driver" resources, etc. I thought we'd just overlooked this application of "follow."
Now I know why. Duh. Commentaries, etc., have not been given the "follow" button. I wonder why, and if they could? having it still could be a bit problematic (what is it supposed to follow?). But if commentaries could be engineered so that "follow" would mean to follow Bibles only, that could work.
Which leads me back to the original request made by several (but I don't think it is on uservoice): create driver and follower links, please! [Y]
