Problem With "Thematic Bible:Topical Analysis"
Has any one else had issues with this file?
As my b8 is continually crashing I switched to L3. This "resource" does NOT display - except for the
Table of Contents which displays perfectly. The rest is a series of horizontal, parallel lines!
I mention b8 because I was using this resource successfully before b8 started crashing. Now I am unable to use the resource at all in L3.
Curios

Is this the only book that does that? Can you provide a screenshot?
Update: Please post steps and a log file for each crashing issue as we want to address every problem.

That resource appears to only crash/load empty/freeze up in L3 (but I didn't want to post there).
So far it's identical(?) resource file seems to open properly in L4b8 (if I can get to it before the usual "crash" message appears!
Now that L4b8 ("Microsoft error reporting") crashes & disappears EVERY time it's opened I've posted a new log this morning in the "Crash-Post install" forum.
This behavior started almost as soon as b8 had arrived. The crashes are constant since at least yesterday morning.
None of the other betas have behaved (as badly) as have b7-b8.
Thanks

The crash you posted in the Post-Install Crashes forum you said it would crash direclty after opening B8. Here you say you can get to the resource sometimes before the "usual" crash. This leads me to believe the crash you reported isn't happening directly after opening B8. We need clear repro steps for each crash to mor effectively identify the issue, preferably in a numerical list.

George.(sorry for making it even more confusing...)
I really appreciate you looking into this. This is both strange and confusing to me. I've not had this with any of the other betas.
Almost as soon as I have the software loaded I get the message box appear that it must close & please do "Microsoft Error Reporting".
-- I've had it happen enough times that I have "experimented" with it - Here is what happens depending on my actions:
A. - IF I then respond to that error message and click "don't send," - then the software closes (immediately).
B. - IF I click "send" then the report generates - which usually takes about 7 minutes - then the software and error message immediately close.
C. - IF I merely try to "click" the "close" "x" in order to remove the message, then BOTH the message and the software IMMEDIATELY close.
- BUT if I "drag" the error box off to the side of the screen the
software allows me to manipulate it (at least for a while anyways).[
And, sorry, but I forget what it is that finally tends to eventually
disable it at that point. I'll try again to see how long I can make it
last.]Something obviously is wrong when the Error Report Message always pops up immediately (and if clicked on) then whisks everything from the screen. (Help!?)
Thanks for all that you are doing

Hmm that is a very interesting scenario you got going! Usually the program "freezes" behind the error reporting window, perhaps it is not Logos4 that is crashing but your Indexer? You can make sure by double checking what the error reporting window says, it will say Logos4 indexer had a problem if that was the case, can you confirm which one? Also post the Logos4Indexer.log if it is the indexer.

(Sorry to take so long George, but I had to get my sermon written)
One other interesting observation -- and it may relate to what you have just said.
This afternoon there were a number of internet time-outs at the Logos website when I tried to get onto this forum.
At one point I could not even connect the L4b8 software to your servers etc. When I tried to load the software I was unable to get an internet connection. I then chose to "work off line."
I DID NOT GET THE ERROR MESSAGE. It has sat here for two hours (not doing too much as I've been typinga sermon) but otherwise working fine.
SO this must have something to so with servers, internet, indexing etc. But what?
