Perhaps Logos might want to know ,what we like or expect for 2011.

Totally agree! It could work like the iPhone app (pull books via "the cloud"). Or it could be a feature in L4 that lets me "Export to Kindle". It would allow me to make much more use of my "extended reading"-oriented resources (e.g. Monographs).

When they have a sale like the one under way, I'd like for Logos to be able to SHOW me what I already have & what would be added to my library, for EACH collection offered. I'd also like to know what SETS are either fully or partially included.
As it is, I'm probably not going to invest the huge effort it'd take to figure out whether the 250 volume collection would be a worthwhile purchase to add to Platinum, especially since it's $100 more than the max I can easily scrape together.
I struggled whether or not to make this post, as I'm very grateful to have been offered anything. And I'm basically happy with L4 & L3 & the ways I use both of them. So I didn't want to make a disappointed post (& I ask forgiveness for any degree to which this resembles one).
But the bottom line is that I am going miss out this year on ALL the specials. The daily specials didn't meet my needs. There isn't enough in the 125 volume collection, & in the 3-4 times I've looked at the 250 volume, I couldn't find any way to narrow down the master list to just what's in the 250 that I don't have. (I'm interested in commentaries or quality Bible research books that I don't have. Other books have little value to me.) So I"m going to pass... And I might not have if I could've easily figured it out. (Yes, I know how to build the spread sheets for comparison. But I'm not the one trying to sell me the package.)
Another voice for the Kindle app. That's the way I do most of my full-book reading now, and it's such a blessing as I travel a lot. Even if Logos could only get permissions from rights-holders for parts of our libraries, it would be a great bonus. I'm now buying Kindle copies of books I have on my shelves, as carrying a dozen books in a suitcase is just not on. So if there were a surcharge for the dual usage, as long as it was modest, I'd probably pay.
Totally agree. I have been blow away how much I enjoy reading on it. IMO it does not just beat standard LED but reading on paper as well!
I find that I rarely use the Logos iPhone app for anything more than reading, so the fact that the Kindle has only enough computing power to display text is not great loss. It seems silly to spend hundreds of dollars for an iPad if all I am going to use it for is an ebook reader and an inferior one at that! It I want to do serious Bible study I will use my laptop, if I want to read a Logos book I don't need a $500 inferior iPad, I want to use my $139 superior Kindle!
Now THAT would be fantastic. I love Logos but I also love my Kindle. The two together would be a winning combination.
And if Logos could make this happen, I know I would do a lot more reading of my Logos resources. I love my Kindle, too!

I have to say I agree. I tried a couple of times to look at the Christmas sale (most recently this morning) and gave up each time. The narrowing function is good, but it does not appear that Logos recognizes what I own. So I was looking through commentaries, and was pretty sure that I owned a book or two I was looking at. After doing the sifting game for 15 minutes, I just did not want to bother opening Logos and searching through to see what I had and matching it each time. This is the busiest time of year for a pastor, the economy is tight, and unless I really need something, I don't feel the need to work to buy something. It's a little more frustrating to winnow through tons of semi-useless material to find a few gems.
Sorry, but that is why I did not spend a penny on the huge Christmas sale.
