Anyone here using D. A. Carson's “Love of God” Collection (3 vols.)…

Seems like a cool resource. I'm putting in an order on Monday for some things, should this be one of them?

I have it and have found it to be an incredibly valuable collection. The For The Love of God vol 1 & 2 are daily devotionals following along the M'Cheyne's reading plan. Each day the M'Cheyne's reading plan has you read four passages. Carson then comments on one (or more) of those passages in the space of about a page. It really complements the reading plan well. The plan is designed to be started on January 1, so this is perfect timing for you. You will read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in the span of a year.
I used For the Love of God for 2 years and loved it. Very highly recommended.

Thank you for the quick response, Jacob. It sure does look inviting.

I've used For the Love vol 1 this year. The content is pretty good but to be honest I prefer one that sits beside my bed and can be flipped open anytime...

I've been using "For the Love of God" for about two years now. I like the M'Cheyne Bible reading plan. If four chapters a day is too ambitious, you can always read two chapters per day for two years. Don Carson's comments are always insightful. One thing that he emphasizes is how themes are progressively revealed in the Bible.
All three books are available free in pdf format:

So you can check them out before purchasing them in Logos.
I highly recommend them.
