Does the scan command automatically include subdirectories, or is some sort of syntax needed? Thanks!

Hi Randy
Please see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/14850/114060.aspx#114060 for an explanation of what the scan command does - you will see that it does traverse subdirectories.
Graham
OK. Thanks!
Do you know if the scan command can be entered twice before a restart to scan two non-recursive subdirectories? Also what is the tilde convention in that thread? I have not seen that before. Thanks!

Try it and see!

That's a Mac convention. You have to enter a valid (Windows) path name for the whole scan command to be listed under Tools!
OK. But Logos gives no indicators on restart of what's happening. I remember a post on a log file I can open?
OK on the MAC. No wonder I didn't know :-)
Dave - Entered both scans. Restarted. Have no idea what Logos did or didn't do. No log file is under the logos 4 directory structure. I'll search elsewhere to see if I can find it.
I do think Logos 4 needs better progress indicators, better notifications, and access to log files via menu items. And a pdf doc on resource management. I know it's not directly related to Bible study, but for a program of these dollars expended, I think these are professionally needed additions.

You can follow its progress in Logos4.log if you initiate logging.

scan was a developer tool, hence the sparse implementation! As it is now in the Help file I think it should provide some feedback. Use UserVoice for such suggestions.
