i get an error message when i open logos 4. logos 4 has encountered a problem and needs to close. anybody had this
problem ? please help
Andre, yes others have had this problem.
Please tell us what release of Windows XP you are using? Logos requires Service Pack 3 to be installed. Have you successfully opened and used Logos 4 before?

This log file is incomplete. Try running Logos 4 again and after it crashes, upload all the files in the Logos log files folder.

Andre, that is an installer log and it says that you have Logos 4 installed. You don't need to try to install Logos4 again.
Please do the following:
1. Hold down the CTRL key and double click on the Logos 4 icon to open Logos. Hold the CTRL key down until you get a logon screen. When it opens, select 'use blank layout' and then click 'Sign in'.
2. If Logos crashes we need to see the crash file, and Indexer files and the Logos4.log file.

There is a rare occasion when Logos4 did not completely close properly, so Restart windows, then....

Once you see the login screen for Logos, follow Mark's instructions.

Andre, there is definitely something very unusual going on.
It is possible the installer didn't get the job completely finished. I'd suggest you uninstall Logos 4 and the Logos 4 Prerequisites by using the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs function. Reboot after that, then try to re-install from the internet link here: http://www.logos.com/windows/installlogos4
When you reinstall, let us see all the log files that are generated up through any crash you may get.
There are problems with installing to a Limited User account in XP and you need to follow these steps or make sure you install fully to an Administrator account.
