Printing a Causal Outline

I am trying to print a Lexham Causal Outline that is to be printed in English. While in Logos 4, the text in question is in English, but when I export it or save it to a file to be printed, when I view the document in Word, the text is displayed in Greek. If I do a manual copy and paste from Logos to Word, if I do a paste as an HTML format , I can paste in English but I lose the indenting.

How do a print a causal outline in English without losing the grammatical structure indenting?

Philip, welcome to the forum!

Just to be certain, you are enabling the Inline display and turning off every line except the English Literal Translation time, right?

Have you tried directly printing, that is not going to a document?

I found that if I printed to a pdf printer (such as CutePDF or PrimoPDF) or exported to an XPS document I was able to have the English with indenting come over. However, none of these would preserve the indenting if I tried to copy the text into Word.

None of the Interlinears support printing (EDIT: exporting to MS Word) of anything but the base translation or text. Thus you cannot print (EDIT: export to MS Word) the English Literal Translation because it is part of the Interlinear function not the base text. You'd find this true in an English Bible Interlinear as well.

As you pointed out there is no work around that preserves the formatting you want.

I don't know how you plan to use the text but perhaps a screen capture which preserves the formatting would be a possibility for you.

Interesting. I posted before seeing your reply but tried my Adobe PDF writer before posting and it could not handle the format. Got an error message. Ditto with the the other interlinears trying to create a .pdf with any interlinear text. And I have the actual Adobe distiller product. HMM.

Yes, that is exactly what I am doing. Yes, printing it directly as a XPS document does allow English printing. So that problem can be worked around, but I still would like to export it as a file that can be edited w/o losing all of the default indentions.

Print/Export does as you say (printing to a PDF worked, but export features don't). But you can use Copy (Ctrl C) and manually paste it into Word. The 3rd section was pasted and it shows in tables in Word edit mode.

But when you do a Print Preview in Word, the table data is arranged just like the L4 screen data.

If you copy directly from Lexham Clausal outline, you can paste it into Word. It will look strange, but editable.

When in Word that you select Print Preview, you will see this

EDIT: perhaps you might want to use Excel, since the copy/paste puts it in a table format (might be easier to manipulate)
