Logos is proud to announce the upcoming release of Proclaim, Church Presentation Software. You can see a video of the presentation software announcement here: http://proclaimonline.com/

If you would like a free 30 Day trial of Proclaim when it releases, enter your email address on this site.

Proclaim will solve several issues in the church presentation process. With access to presentations through a web application, a pastor, worship leader, or worship tech team member can access and build the same presentation online. This collaboration will allow for greater creativity and planning for the church presentation, while making the process more simple than ever. Not only will team members build a presentation with Proclaim, but volunteers will use the application as the software to present with.

Users of Proclaim will be able to upload content or visit the Proclaim digital store for access to the best in creative resources. Logos 4 users will be able to right click on content in their software and select 'send to Proclaim', to easily build a presentation.

Please use this forum to discuss our new presentation software. Proclaim is set for an early to mid 2011 release. Don't forget to visit the site  http://proclaimonline.com/ and if you like what you see, click the "Tweet" button and "Like" button to tell your friends and worship team members.

But - what will it cost?Hmm

Free 30 day trial, and then if you don't like the price once they announce it, you don't have to buy it. I presume the trial version will simply stop working or become crippled somehow.

Sure - but not worth expending effort on the trial if the software isn't affordable for a small church (for example) - just trying out software takes a lot of time and effort that could instead be spent on other ministry activities ... (A free trial is never truly free ...)

We need to have some idea of what the cost will be, will it be charged per license, per church, monthly fee, by size of congregation, or whatever ...

Good point. Email sales@logos.com and ask them if they can find out the answer for you. It might be that a price hasn't been determined yet, but maybe they can at least give you a ballpark range.

I think it probably goes without saying that it will be high.

    Hi Michael,

Non-linear projection software isn't cheap. (Power Point is linear... wants you to go straight thru it.) Non linear allows any slide in any order. The best non-linear programs allow you to edit on one screen (PC or laptop) while you're projecting on the other, still selecting any slide in any order. Proclaim is one of those that allows non-linear projection & editing of other slides while you're projecting.

Until Logos goes on record in the public forum, we won't know for sure. If they follow through what Bob said in the alpha forum about their intended pricing strategy (site license, fee based on church size) it will be very competitive.

Not much need for it in my church given that we have 50 members and can't afford it anyhow.  Power Point suits me just fine.

At least I can better understand now why it is taking so long to get the wrinkles ironed out of Logos 4.

    Hi Bob,

AFAIK, they're using different technologies. I do know that the programmers all have different names from those we've known already. So presumably neither can impact the other. [;)]

I figured as much Bill. My comment was intended to be tongue in cheek but I forgot the wink. [;)]

Is there anyway to get this in beta right now? Our church is building a slideshow project and we could REALLY use this right now!

I'm looking forward to the release of Proclaim.  Our team is already planning on giving it a thorough testing when it becomes available.  For a churches that rely on a group of talented volunteers to create presentations each week, an internet-based program like Proclaim sounds like it will be a welcome tool.   Also, if Proclaim packs all of the features mentioned in the video it will likely be the most cutting edge presentation software available to churches.

Thank you for using your gifts to help advance the Kingdom of God.

I am so ready for this ... PowerPoint won't do what we want to do and (having purchased) MediaShout has a HUGE learning curve. I so want Proclaim to do what it says it can do.

There are many features that would be fun to play with in this software but the cloud concept is not new. We us it already with Dropbox. It is a simple and free and fits our needs. Everyone has OpenOffice (you cannot bet the cost $0 and it does everything PowerPoint does) I would not dare introduce a change in songs on Sunday morning. The music team would lynch me.

Our presentations are not as fancy but still quite effective esp for our size church (60 -70) on Sunday morning

This looks and sounds like an outstanding service with amazing possibilities and a seemingly great collaborative interface.

However, without a pricing structure, even before I get to see it in action, this service falls way off my radar screen.

I've been excited and intentional about using many other software or online services only to be instantly deflated by the cost factor.

Looking forward to the full demo but I've got to move forward on utilizing to the fullest what I have available to me know.

    For God's glory!

    Hi Mark,

If you're comparing it to one of the current non-linear (non-power-point-like) projection softwares, from what I'm seeing in alpha & here, I think you're going to find that it's very competitive in pricing.

I'm far more concerned on the technical (dependence on availability of internet in the sanctuary) than the price.

    Blessings to you!

    Grace & Peace,
    Bill
