Yeah!
I almost don't believe it - I hope Logos place a lot of supporting material on CP after Barnes departs!
We have just witnessed a significant moment in Logos history [:)]

[:'(] Don't know whether to cry or do the happy dance. [:P]
My bid is still sitting at $50. If it goes down to $25 will I get two sets?
(It would be cool if multiple orders were possible. Harvard Classics would be a good gift.)
Sorting community pricing by progress shows interesting order:
1) http://www.logos.com/product/8550/harry-angus-alexander-kennedy-collection - closes Friday 14 January
2) http://www.logos.com/product/8546/lyman-beecher-collection - not yet complete (appears over 95 %)
3) http://www.logos.com/product/2132/barnes-notes-on-the-old-and-new-testaments - also closes Friday 14 January
Wonder if Barnes notes planned for new KF package inclusion ?
Keep Smiling [:)]
Woo hoo! And there was more rejoicing in heaven after Barnes made it over the top than the 99 others that didn't need to...(wait a minute, wrong verse) [;)]
I am happy for those who've wanted this, and happy for the rest of us who are tired of hearing about it. [;)]
Now beat the drums to get the price down.
I feel like a victory has been won!

I am very happy for the $30 price - if it goes down, it is even better. Now, if we could Mark Smith to make a bid, life would be great.[:)]

Well, I know you aren't holding your breath. It could go to $5.00 and I wouldn't be tempted. But let all who want it jump on it now if they haven't already. It will only go up in price after noon PST on Friday.
WOW - I was expecting this the same day the last EEC comes out, in 2018 or something ...
What are we going to do for jokes now?
Why does it not show as supported on the iToys?
It can't be about the license ...
Have no idea who Barnes is - guess I should read the product info page. But after hearing so many people pushing for this resource a while back, I thought, why not and placed an $80 bid. To see it finally get over the hump with the closing price at $30 is great!!! I'm happy for all the those who waited so long for this to happen!!!
Appears 4 Dictionary sets by James Hastings are the oldest community pricing items after Barnes Notes.

Just got an email that Lyman Beecher is now over the top, closing Friday. It's currently at $31 but very close to hitting $28.

Don't be too loud about it because George will come and spoil our joy.
Well, Mark did already... [:D]
P.S. I am happy for all those who wanted to have it over the line. Congratulations. I am also in for quite a while with my $30, although I don't know exactly what to expect from it.
I only ordered it because so many other people wanted it so badly and I wanted to help them out. Actually, after the price goes down to $25, and the numbers are safely high enough, I might cancel my order. [:)] Nah, I'll probably go ahead and get it. If so many people think it's that awesome I might as well have it, if it's going to be this cheap.

Is Barnes crossing the line a sign of the apocalypse? Can we compare that to the massive die off's of birds in midair flight recently?
I did my part with a blog post, I gritted my teeth and placed my bid. Looks like I'm going to have to pay the piper now.
But I cannot help but wondering what will happen now that the Anchor is off the CP page (after Friday)... Will the page just drift idly with the current now?
Well this is amazing - Barnes crosses the finishing line and we have over 5 inches of snow in Georgia!
although I don't know exactly what to expect from it.
Disappointment?

Wow...I was impressed with the content of Barnes Notes - I looked up several passages of interest to me. Thanks for the link. Though I was already in for 30, for no other reason than peer pressure, I now realize that I will greatly benefit from these notes more than I thought.
Why did this take so long? Barnes is good stuff.
Perhaps ,it might be possible ,that some have these resources in other Softwares, like me I bid 30, even though I have it in my two other softwares ,I have it in Quckverse and PC Bible study.I am glad to have it in Logos 4 as well ,that's why I did it.

Didn't someone say this Barnes milestone wouldn't happen until Hades freezes over? [:)]
I am somewhere between Mark and Rosie. I really have no interest in having Barnes and put in a bid to get it to production, but I do wrestle with whether or not I'll cancel my bid or not. I'm more with Mark in that, well, I don't find it to be a very worthwhile resource.
This is kind of a no-brainer. I saw one nice volume of Barnes on eBay for $12. The whole thing without trying to find a bookshelf....
Now what are we supposed to joke about?
Ever been to Georgia in the Summer. . . and now it's snowing there according to one of our brothers on these boards. . . "Just sayin. . ."
There is currently snow in 49 of the 50 states. Only Florida has escaped thus far. This might be a record. I read somewhere that the weather service has not kept track of this statistic in the past. I suppose it's theoretically possible to have snow in all 50 states simultaneously as there has been snow in Florida before.
Only Florida has escaped thus far.
Hawaii?

Actually, I saw this stat in an Hawaiian newspaper (web site) - posted it to my Facebook page I was so amazed:

Ouch. I forgot about Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. [:$] I should know better than to challenge Rosie! [:'(]
Seeing how its free in other software, I'm surprised this public domain classic wasn't already included years ago and I'm surprised it's not apart of the base packages.
Almost to $25! Come on....
If you have not ordered you can do it here:

I only use one other brand of software and with it, the New testament is free but the old testament is listed at $69.95 but my salesman at the other company gave me a pretty good deal on it. I am still buying it for Logos though.
Is it common to find both the old and new testaments for free or just the new testament?

The old testament and new testament are free with e-Sword and The Word. And there's several other paid (inferior to Logos) software packages (but not the one you are referring to) where the new and old testaments are included with the software itself. It's public domain text that's been around since the 1800s. But hey, it's at Logos now and that's what counts!
Thanks Josh. I was wondering if e-Sword had both the new and old.

Yes it does.

Exactly! [Y] We do not pay for the text. We pay for the usefulness.
P.S. E-Sword had been my main software for quite a while. I know it well.

While Dives is still waiting for this to happen...Barnes can no longer be the subject of frustration - hopefully.
I wonder how long this will be a pre-pub. Surely Logos has anticipated this moment and might have already started on this project. It would be nice to see this BEFORE Dives gets his wish. Maybe this year even??
If I remember correctly, LOGOS told us when they placed Barnes on Community Pricing that Barnes had previously been on Pre-Pub (at their price) and did not receive enough orders to go into production. It was removed from Pre-Pub at that time. It was only later that it was put into Community Pricing as one of the original 10 or so items listed.
I first purchased LOGOS in 2003 and do not remember Barnes being a Pre-Pub so it had to be some time ago. I am grateful for it finally being released.
