Would be nice to see both of these under £10 ($15/16!?)
The Thomas Cranmer Collection (10 vols)
The Decades of Heinrich Bullinger (4 vols)
Is no one interested in these!?
These are definitely resources of value, but I can't justify spending my money on them at this time. I am surprised that Cranmer hasn't moved to production much more quickly.
I'm already in. For anyone who is a member of the Anglican Communion or who is interested in church history this should be an absolute necessity. I'd be happy to be able to get them for $15-$16 since I'm a tightwad -- well, not really. Let's say I'm frugal -- I want to make the best use of my resources.

Me too! Come on guys, get with the English Reformation program!

I'd be more interested in the other Thomas of that period. [:)]

I assume you mean Thomas the Lesser.
Lesser? No, More! [:D]
No, More!
You mean you no longer want it? [;)]
Who's on first?
I bid on these two a couple months ago.. they will be ready when they are ready.
The Hatch collection is closing Friday noon PST and is at $12. It might be possible to get it down to $9 if enough bid on it.

I was in on Cranmer originally. I'm now in on Bullinger as well! Arriba!!....sorry, got a little carried away there......

I bid on all of them... it's still the best way to get some good resources cheap... also frugal.
Yeah, but neither of them have reached 50%. Great to hear that other people are bidding though!
I've been in since the beginning on both of these. I too am surprised Cranmer hasn't gone over the top faster than several of the lesser known authors who have cleared through recently. As for Bullinger, may we not have to wait "Decades" for him...
Yet I would say that the Cranmer collection is much more valuable than the Decades (unless your interest is in historical homiletics).

O the mirth and wit exhibited on these forums!
Anymore takers? [;)]

Oh definitely. I was just using the occasion for a little mirth and wit, as Richard recognized. [:)]

Well, you know me. I'm totally sober at all times. [H]

If you really want Thomas More, you should be subscribed to the Harvard Classics which is soon to ship.

Thanks, but I've got Utopia on paper and I don't need it electronically. I was thinking more along these lines. Not that I'm in a hurry; I've got more than enough to read already.
Though I have to say Machiavelli, More and Luther in the same volume is an intriguing combination...
