Dr. Sprouls digital library
I just got my disk for Dr. Sprouls library which of course is no longer available. I went to install it and got this error

Being lazy, I'd call Logos CS on Monday with my serial number and have them unlock it - then Logos 4 will download it.

You might be able to Scan from the L4 command line to bring in Libronix books to L4. This will not help you with the audio/video though.
Somehow you might be able to set something up in Win7 64-bit to emulate XP, which might allow you to install it. EDIT: not having Win7 64-bit, i cannot look into this. But i have seen/used a method in Vista 32-bit to allow me to have some apps run in an windows XP mode.
EDIT2: wow this is an old app. on another site it says it was published in 2000. (windows 98 days)

I tried the scan it did not seem to work. Does L4 recognize .lsf and .lix files?

If this is a Logos2 program it's 16 bit and won't install on Win7 (64-bit). The error message, suggesting you find a 32 or 64 bit version of the program makes me suspicious. If you have another system with a 32 bit operating system you could try installing it there and then importing into Libronix then syncing your licenses in Libronix with the Logos server. After that L4 will see it and download the latest files. (I know sounds complicated, maybe calling CS on Monday is the way to go.)
If this is Libronix (Logos3) and you have IE9 installed on this machine, try uninstalling IE9 and reverting to IE8.

Yes it does, but you're right it won't work until Logos4 knows you have a license for these files.
Yes Logos4 can read LSF/LIX files.

No the problem is that you need to be able to tell Logos' servers that you own the license for the books. There are two solutions:
1. Call customer service on Monday
2. Install Libronix 3 on a an old computer that can run 16 bit apps (something running 32bit xp or vista should be fine). Then after Libronix is installed and you sync your licenses. Then install your RC Sproul library. Then sync your licenses. Then go back to your new computer running Logos4 and restart Logos. In a few minutes it will tell you that you have new resources to download...voila, RC Sproul.Jacob Hantla

This error message is standard in Win 7 when you try to load a 16 bit program (as has been diagnosed here). The recommendation to load it on a 32 bit operating system is also correct. So why post? I just want to mention that Win 7 does have a 32 bit version that will run 16 bit programs. I've had to downgrade a PC to 32 bit Win 7 for a business app to run; that comp lost its ability to use all of its ram though.

I've got the Sproul CD and been through the same issues - you need to call and have it unlocked by them, it's the only way. I tried installing on my other XP machine but it still wouldn't sync across...

I also own Sproul from the 2.x days and my files synced fine from the Libronix 3.0 upgrade.
