Please let me change the default Window layout

For me one of the latest burrs under my saddle has been the need to
set a different default go to layout for when I type a passage and hit go from the home page. 
Currently if you envision three windows as numbered 1, 2 & 3  The current model is:

|         1   |___________ |

|               |                2      |

 

I find that so frustrating on a wide screen monitor and wish that I could set the default to

|                   |                  |               |

|         1        |     2           |      3      |

|                   |                  |               |

 

 

As it is right now I keep having to drag #2 up to the center position in order to match my work flow.
