Unfortunately, the website doesn't give any information on which writings are included in the bundle - that's a bit odd, since there are so many basic theological writings by Luther that one should really know what kind of selection has been made!
The publishers' website has the info you need (click on the contents tab): http://fortresspress.com/store/item.jsp?clsid=206926&productgroupid=0&isbn=0800696751
Thanks, Mark - I forgot to search there. Looks not that "basic" to me, since there's not even the complete De servo arbitrio and other central writings in it, even though I guess that might not be possible at this price. I was thinking of purchasing this title as long as there's no German edition of Luthers works for Logos 4, but in this case I'll stick to my hardcovers.
Do you know about this: http://blog.logos.com/archives/2007/11/luthers_works_now_thats_a_deal.html
It's no longer available direct from Logos, but do some Googling, and you should find some old stock somewhere - often at excellent prices.
Thanks, Mark! I've already had a look on this before - not quite sure whether this makes sense for me or not. At this price, I tend to sticking to my German hardcovers, since I do mainly a continuous reading of Luther's writings rather than searching them excursively. It might be interesting when the price gets a little bit lower yet.
I found a CD/Rom from Fortress Press and Concordia Publishing House will it work on my Logos for Mac? I am using L4. Do you loose the search capabilities by using this versus a Logos download?
Michael,
As long as it is designed for Libronix / Logos, it will work in in L4. Insert the disc, use type "Scan DVD" in the command field, close and open L4 again and wait for what happens - it might be you have to write or call Customer Service and ask them to unlock the resource.
Yeah, that's not working for me. Ugh. LOGOS!! ::shakes fist::
What steps have you done Jeff? I'll try to help you get this fixed.
