In addition to that, a higher price signals to me, that there are people who find this resource very helpful - whereas I would not want to invest into a collection of "the complete sermons of John Zebedias Smith in 38 volumes", even if it is at 10 USD, if obviously no one cares about them.

There are generally some who will find almost any work of great value.  We are all interested in different subjects.  If you aren't interested in an offering, then don't bid or bid very low if you think you might have a very slight interest.  When it comes to Community Pricing I would never recommend bidding high.  Consider the age of the work and just how interested you really are then consider the size of the work and don't make a bid which is out of line with other works of that size and type.  Bidding high simply stiffles the interest of those who might otherwise be interested.  REMEMBER:  It says "the most YOU would be willing to pay."  Are you seriously interested in paying more than is necessary?

I think I just wrote that in my post - maybe my English sentences sometimes get too convoluted to be clear on the points I want to make...

I'm not interested in paying more than necessary - and I don't think that we all do (well, often we could download the mere text outside of logos someplace on the web for free, so "necessary" needs to be qualified somewhat). I think the whole point of CP is attracting a large number of customers to express their desire to buy a certain resource - and all I wanted to do is to share what works better to attract me contemplating a bid. If this doesn't work for you: fine. [:)]

$0.00 is about what I would be willing to pay for the average PDF.  When it comes to a Logos resource, the equation changes.  I'm willing to pay something for that, but not a lot more for some resources.

I thought that Logos had a significant number of people taking the literal meaning as fundamental.

I guess fewer Logos users are literalists and fundamentalists about web pages than they are about biblical text. [l)]
