This app was written using the .NET 4 framework, which is Windows only as far as I know. I am assuming since this is the Logos4Mac forum you are on some Apple hardware?

Concur Shibboleth needs .NET 4 framework client profile on Windows. Forum http://community.logos.com/forums/p/31714/235979.aspx#235979 has Logos answer for Mac version of Shibboleth.
Need Logos 4 PC feature? has 4 options for running Windows on Apple hardware. After experiencing 16 Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) on Windows 7 laptop, looking forward to iMac and Mac Mini model refreshes later this year (hope to replace 2008 model laptop with Apple hardware that has 2nd generation Intel Core i5 or i7). Also reading good things about Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, which should ship in few months (may be prudent to wait for Mac OS X Lion before purchasing more Apple hardware).

Interesting - I have a Win 7 64bit laptop (Asus) and a Win 7 64bit desktop (i built myself - quad core AMD, etc) and have never had a BSoD or even more than a minor program hang on either one. When I hear someone has frequent BSoD issues I start to think hardware or a corrupted driver.
Now to be fair I also have a 13" Core 2 Duo MBP and a 15" i5 MBP and Logos 4Mac runs flawlessly on both of those also (unlike some the issues our brothers and sisters in this forum sometimes experience). But I agree that waiting for 10.7 Lion (and about 60 days afterwords just to be sure
) would be great if you can. Apple always seems to make nice improvements in every iteration of OS X. And with the price of SSD'd going down an i7 iMac with 8GB of RAM and an SSD for a primary drive running 10.7 would be pretty stellar! Now if I could just get it with a touch screen so it would be like a giant stationary iPad! Hahahhaa
Be blessed,
Orville

MBP is an abbreviation for MacBook Pro

Anticipating my 2008 model Windows laptop has a shorter Mean time Before Passing than my wife's 2007 model iMac (suspect video hardware on laptop will fail before desktop iMac). Have updated video driver (last release was Tue 29 Mar); hoping for graphics endurance until can replace laptop with Apple Hardware (ideally with enough resources to run Logos 4 Mac and some virtual machines).

My experience tells me you are likely correct on your analysis of the "mean time before passing" of the laptop versus the iMac! My neighbor's son has a 3 year old 17" MBP he has used at Brooks School of Photography for the last 3 years, and I have it in my shop for a checkup and it still runs like the day it was made. Some minor file permission issues, but every 3 year old Windows laptop I see just does not run nearly as well. And he has put extensive mileage on it going to school as pretty much everything is Photoshop and Lightroom. So my prayer for you is that you will soon also be the proud owner of some fine Apple hardware; not that the fruity logo is a guarantee everything will be flawless, but the odds are definitely in your favor [:)]
Blessings,
Orville

So you, as well as I, can testify to the fact that it does freeze over. [:)]

Getting us back on topic for this post.
Mike, I was wondering if this was available for the Mac as well. But, when I go to the Shibboleth website and then to the user's manual: http://www.logos.com/shibboleth/help, I see under system requirements that it only runs on a Windows platform.

Indeed Christopher
My original 'tongue in cheek' post was quietly pointing out that Logos had other users who did not own Windows machines.
Now with the user base being split evenly between Apple and Microsoft they are somewhat more aware.
Logos were, however far sighted in that they started work on the Mac version before the market share ballooned.

Wiki has Logos 4 Mac => Need Logos 4 PC feature? with virtualization and boot camp options. Clipboard can be shared with virtual machine(s) so can copy and paste.

Keep Smiling,
That is a good option for those that own VMware or Parallels, or don't mind switching back and forth with Boot Camp. But, all three options requires that the person also purchase a license for Windows. But, that is definitely an option.
Shibboleth is a free software that Logos graciously offers to everyone, Logos user or not. So, we really can't be demanding on wanting features or portability to Apple OS.
All that being said, I hear it is a great tool for people to use, but they must use it in a Windows environment. Whether on a Windows computer, or on a Mac running Windows through Boot Camp, VMware or Parallels, that is the user's choice.
For those that don't have access to Windows, does anyone know of a Mac utility that is similar to Shibboleth?

Mac OS X has keyboards => Biblical Languages Keyboard for MAC with character viewers.
Shibboleth has been suggested for Logos on-screen keyboard => On-screen keyboard
Please vote => Please integrate Shibboleth into Logos for language input
