Why is NKJV version not available offline?

Hi there, I have both Logos and the YouVersion Holy Bible app on my iPhone... in the Youversion app, I can have the NKJV stored in "offline" mode which downloads it to the iPhone for very fast verse searching and reference. And this is free.

In your app, I have to pay 40 dollars for the same "offline" capability just to have fast reference for NKJV??? -- is there something I'm missing here? Why does this 1) have a cost compared to the other app to store NKJV offline 2) cost so much compared to a print version I can buy in the store?

Please let me know what I'm missing... I really like your software, other than this major drawback.

Welcome to the Logos user forums [:D]

Logos iOS application includes one Bible for offline use: American Standard Version (ASV).  Logos does offer free online NKJV access at http://biblia.com/ web site.  Logos created iOS application to complement Logos 4 Bible Study software for Mac & PC => http://www.logos.com/mobile/iphone

Wondering if have purchased a Logos 4 base package ?

Looking at comparison chart http://www.logos.com/comparison , noted NKJV is included with all base packages except Original Languages.  If own Original Languages, upgrading to Scholar's would be better than paying $ 40 for one Bible resource.

Personally am a Logos user with Many Volunteer Posts (MVP) who purchased a Logos Scholar's Platinum package plus more resources so have NKJV available offline on iPad plus UBS Old Testament Handbook Series and UBS New Testament Handbook Series (commentary set is included in Scholar's Gold and above).  Do like split screen scrolling on iPad with Bible text and UBS translation insights (important concepts to communicate with cultural insights).

Logos no longer charges for software applications; Logos does charge for personal resource licenses that includes lifetime resource maintenance along with use on your personal electronic devices: desktop computer, laptop, iOS (including iPhone), and Android (being developed).  Also, Logos provides free cloud based backup for your Logos personal information, including highlighting, notes, reading plan, etc along with syncing information in your personal Library between various device(s).  Notes and Highlighting are planned for iOS and Android mobile applications.  If not like Logos purchase, have 30 days to ask for refund.

Currently, Logos is having a huge Facebook Sale that ends April 12 (some resources lowest price ever).  For example, The Essential IVP Reference Collection Version 3 is $ 95 and Tyndale Commentaries (49 vols.) are $ 135.  A pre-publication scheduled to ship April 28 is the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmud Collection (50 vols.) that is a compilation of rabbinic discussions that comprise the foundation of Jewish law and tradition.

Logos.com has the largest selection of resources for your personal Library along with powerful Bible Study software.

    Keep Smiling [:)]
