Going from Beta to Stable temporarily

Hi All -
Please advise me if this is correct. I need to print some things and Beta has an issue with that now. I've resolved to install a stable version on my home laptop so that I can print. Before I downloaded the installer, I changed my update channel to stable and then started the download. I am in the middle of downloading my resources now and just want to make sure that there will not be any issues with my resources and notes going from beta to stable.
Thanks!
John

I believe you are correct, however once you play with a beta, you are playing with all that beta touches which would include synced notes. There shouldn't be an issue, but that doesn't mean there will not be an issue. I can say that I have a stable version on one laptop and beta on another. Everything seems to be synced just fine. In fact, I just re-installed the stable version on the Laptop last night and all seemed in good order.

Philip,
Is there an issue going from Beta-to-Stable-back to beta?

That depends on how the code branches. Generally following the version numbers should make it safe but be mindful that jumping DOWN in version numbers WILL likely be a problem.
Current Logos Stable is (I think) 4.2SR5. Current Beta is 4.3β2 you cannot downgrade from a .3 to a .2 release without incident since I believe that the current beta changes some data structures. (I'll look for the relevant posts...)
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

It seems that I got it backwards this time: Do not upgrade from 4.2a SR-4 to 4.3 Beta 2

Usually not, but right now you can't update from SR-4 or SR-5 to Beta 2: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/32214.aspx
You will be able to upgrade to Beta 3 when that comes out.

Robert in the mean time, go window shopping, and add to your cart, all the books that you would like to purchase, but cannot afford at this time. Remember to delete them, lest you mistakenly hit purchase, and have to do a lot of explaining...[:P]Robert Pavich said:Mission: To serve God as He desires.

I don't think that will be a problem.

Of course, that's assuming that there will be computers running Logos in heaven because we'll probably be there when it comes out, especially if Herald Kamping is on the money. Of course, no offense to Logos Inc, but I think we'll be studying from a different Logos there.

Option: can create another user account on primary Windows computer for Logos 4 stable version (need enough disk space to duplicate your Logos library). Can use Method 3 (Saves resource downloading only) to scan resources (scanning copies resources into Logos4 folder belonging to user account).
Thankful Logos 4 sync information works between Mac & PC, including stable and beta versions.
Keep Smiling [:)]

And Bradley, WHEN did you say that would be? I forgot. [:D]
