Sorta overshadows everything else we are going through right now, doesn't it?
Amen.
Absolutely
It took a second to understand what you are referring to...and yes....it overshadows all else.
It took a second to understand what you are referring to
It was meant to. I went through several hours of my day wrapped up in my own little world of small issues before I remembered. I found that sad.
You got it, Bub!!!
Lonnie
How appropriate that outside my window it is very dark.
It's the very watershed of history – and to think He endured that Cross for us, fallen, sinful, self-centred human beings.
What kind of love is this
that gave itself for me;
I am the guilty one,
yet I go free.

"My richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride
Here, Lord, I give myself away, Tis' all that I can do."
Almost twenty years ago, as I was reading through the gospels I saw what Jesus did on the cross and so aware of my own sin I lay sobbing on my carpet in repentance.
On that day, without ever reading Romans 12:1-2 I crawled up on the altar crying out, "Lord if this is what you did for me, than you can do whatever you want with me."
Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.
I'm still on the altar Lord.
Peace, Brothers and Sisters. Amen!

1 What wondrous love is this,
O my soul, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this
That caused the Lord of bliss
To lay aside his crown
For my soul, for my soul,
To lay aside his crown for my soul.
2 To God and to the Lamb,
I will sing, I will sing,
To God and to the Lamb, I will sing.
To God and to the Lamb
Who is the great I am,
While millions join the theme,
While millions join the theme I will sing.
3 And when from death I’m free,
I’ll sing on, i’ll sing on,
And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on.
And when from death I’m free
I’ll sing and joyful be,
And through eternity
I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on,
And through eternity I’ll sing on.
Then came the morning! The stone was rolled away!
Have a spiritually profitable Easter.
Then came the morning! The stone was rolled away! Have a spiritually profitable Easter.
HE IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN INDEED!
Glory to God in the Highest!
Something interesting happened during the preparation for the Pesach meal that some of the members of my church participated in. Two lambs were needed to provide for the meal. After the first one had been killed, the second one slowly stepped forward (in the words of one of the men present "nobly") and stood in the place where it would be slaughtered.
To think that the Lion of the tribe of Judah made Himself a sacrificial Lamb for me simply devastates any attempt at pride I can muster each time I think of it. After such a demonstration of His magnificent lovingkindness for us, is He not worthy of adoration and praise in the highest?
May His Face shine upon each and every one of you this day. To God be all glory, honor, power, and praise!
