I have two sets of install disks. I have logos 3 and series x. What is the difference between them? Which set should I use?
Hi Matthew - and welcome to the forums.
http://community.logos.com/forums/p/16336/123943.aspx gives some history and shows that Logos 3 is much more recent with more features than series X.
However, Logos 4 is the current product and you may want to consider upgrading to that.
Do your install disks just contain the base software or sets of resources?
Hope this helps
Graham
Logos 3 and Libronix are the same.
You should be able to use either one you want, I would use the one with the largest lib first.
Matthew, you will want to use the Logos 3 (Libronix) install. However, you may run into problems installing from the discs. You'd be best installing the latest version (3.0g) directly from the Internet. Here's the link:http://www.logos.com/support/download/30bupdate
To get your resources in, you will need to either synch your licenses over the Internet once Logos 3 is installed, or enter a validation code which Logos 3 should ask for the first time it runs. If you never synched your licenses over the Internet but have a license file backup, you can restore your licenses.
Once your licenses are updated, you'll need to load each Logos 3 disc you have and let Logos discover the resources on them you are entitled top and offer to transfer them to your hard drive. At the end of that you should be up and running. Let us know if you have problems.
