I have 4gb ram, 2ghz duo core, a ssd and this last update has turned my scrolling into a nightmare. I am using my actual bible because its faster.
I have heard of others reporting the same..... i love Logos, but can we get this fixed?
I have seen others make this same complaint. For whatever reason, I have not had any problem with scrolling. I have a 21.5 inch imac with a 3.2GHz Intel Core i3 with 4 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 memory. I have a 1TB 7200 hard drive. Scrolling with my Mac leaves scrolling with my Windows laptop in the dust.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Randy

Would like to try replicating scrolling experience, please post screenshot or video showing what is slow to scroll.
Observation: in forum Even slower scrolling now ... Bible scrolling was slower than other resources.
Keep Smiling [:)]
For some, not for me. Like I wrote there, my problem is with Search, Notes and PL's.
Updated to SR-5 some hours ago, but haven't so far noticed any difference either way. Bibles still scroll fine, Notes still scroll awfully.
I don't want to duplicate post, so see my observations here.
i have had the same post and actually pretty much given up on this program. Horrible programming . Wish i never bought it.
I unlinked all reference material and it did improve very little, but it was the reference possibility which made me purchase this product in the first place.
back to my paper copy ....move on take your losses and make sure to tell your friends
Follow-up idea from Finally found the Cause for Slow Logos4 Mac, wonder if opening History, clear entries, close Logos 4 Mac, and open Logos 4 Mac has any effect on scrolling ?
tried that also, no change . I can turn pages faster in my bible then i can scroll in logos ...
I have figured out a bit of the problem... I think its a combination of fixes. The big hinderence was the harmony of the gospel's opened in a seperate window. Once I closed this, the scrolling was better.
Did some experimenting with scrolling earlier today. Results at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/32744.aspx.
When I try to scroll in my clippings panel, it is slow and then the program crashes... I have to say that after buying the program over a year and a half ago I am not all that happy with it. I have been with Logos for over 15 years. I have all Macs in the house now... and if I had it to do over again I would have reconsidered the move. It is just more trouble than it was worth. No integration of notes with the iPhone or iPad so far either. It was sold as a complete platform, but sadly I must say it is not. I do want to acknowledge that the iPhone and iPad programs are free... (In the sense that they are related to the original purchase) and for that I am grateful... but they work like most free programs do.
