I would like to see...

The ability to "White out" via a Highlighting option, information in Commentaries that is not even worthy to be looked, at lol .

Ability to rank the Commentary, for the book being studied, from the Window Pane - drop down menu.

Ability to add and remove highlighting from a single word, within an already highlighted text, singly.

Ability to highlight in/from the search pane.

More "Glow" selections under the highlighting feature, and the ability to choose what color of text is glowing

The ability to save multiple versions of the Bible... For example. If I go throughout the entire OT of the KJV and highlight every instance where Christ is alluded to. I would like to be able to save that "Version" of the KJV, while being able to open a new copy with a "clean" OT ready for a New Study.

1. If you don't have a custom Palette, then create one (Right click and click on Create a new Palette)
a. Then right click on your palette, in the drop down menu click on Create a new style.

2. In the style editor click here and name your style.

3. Then click on Font Styling to expand it.
Click on the arrow next to the text color and change it to white.

4. Now click on OK to close the style editor.

5. Then in your resource use your mouse to select text that you want to hide.
a. Then in the highlighting window click on your new style to change the text's color to white.

6. Now you will notice that your text is hidden.

You might in time change your mind regarding that and then you may not remember what it is that you "whited out" so that you would have difficulty recovering it. There are freqeuntly things I find of little worth in which case I simply ignore the work or ignore a particular part of the work. Of course, if your eyes are offended by the very sight of the information, you know what it says -- "if your eye offends you ..."

1. Select the word that you want to remove highlighting from.

2. Click on Erase in the highlighting window or on your keyboard press the key combination Ctrl Shift K.

3. Now your word has the highlighting removed without disturbing the rest of the highlighting.

i agree with you. Another option is to highlight with a Line Through.

You can do this using Visual Filters. I am betting Steve is working on a nicely illustrated write-up of how to do this so I won't take the time as he will have posted his reply before I get around to it. But basically (in case he doesn't), you set up a Visual Filter with the search text you want to highlight, and select the highlighting style you want to apply. Then in the Bible or other resource where you want this highlighting to appear, you make sure that visual filter is turned on in the VF menu. Or you could use light yellow instead of white. Or you could simply uncheck that highlighting palette under the visual filters icon.

And if by "rank" you mean "rate", you can do that by clicking the circled i to the right of the arrows.

May I suggest that in the future you ask in the General or Logos 4 forum how to do this or that (with a good descriptive heading), instead of making lots of suggestions about things that can already be done. You are far more likely to get help that way. Most of the people who answer questions probably don't look for them in a thread called something vague like "Additional ideas", hidden away in the Suggestions forum. Plus there is a risk that Logos gets so used to you suggesting already existing features that they miss the few "real" suggestions you make.

If I understand what you are describing, L3 can apply both outline and glow to the same text. I use that effect for certain selected texts.

Yes you can do that in L4 too (by applying each individually).

But Douglas wanted it done by a single click (so to speak), if i understood his request.

In the create a new style editor, L4 does not permit selecting both of these for a single style.

Concur with balance desire, would like features improved and added to enhance Bible Study for all Logos users, preferably including faster human interaction with software (e.g. menus appear in less than a second, easy to stop and change Text Comparison, etc).

Observation: Logos is a for profit Christian company that makes business decisions. Suggestion(s) voiced by one user has significantly smaller business case for implementation than suggestion(s) that benefit many Logos users.

This is obviously not the first time I have observed a request or comment regarding semantic domains for the OT. While it requires a little effort, they are in fact available. If you open DBL Hebrew to whatever word you happen to be interested in and then do a search of the DBL Hebrew lexicon on the LN semantic domain given there, you will get a list which would correspond to the LN listing for the NT though it probably isn't as targetted as the Louiville and Nashville (or whatever it's called -- I rarely use it).

In several Greek New Testament resources, can display Louw-Nida #'s, which allows mouse hover on # to show contextual gloss with range of word meaning:

Can quickly hover over several words to ponder meaning and interaction.
