Hey folks! Does Logos carry a modern Atlas as a resource for Logos 4? I did a quick search but didn't see anything...
Hi Carmen
Does Logos carry a modern Atlas as a resource for Logos 4?
No, afraid not.
But for some of the maps you can key off them to pull up a Google map from those co-ordinates
Hope this helps, Graham
Open Tools > Biblical Places and go to a map of interest. If there's a Google "G" icon in the upper right corner of the map, with coordinates displaying next to it when you move your mouse around over the map, you can click on that to bring you to Google Maps at that location:
Not all maps have this dynamic ability (e.g., ones that come from static books in your library), but the Logos built-in ones do.
I would love Logos to offer The Sacred Bridge: Carta's Atlas of the Biblical World by Anson Rainey and R. Steven Notley. It is absolutely superb. There is also an abridged version, which basically omits the original source material in Hebrew, Greek and other languages, for about half the price. Anson Rainey is a great exponent of Historical Geography, and I had the privilege of working with him on a dig about 15 years ago in the Shephelah.

It's been suggested before. Go and give it a thumbs up at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/25757.aspx.
Try the CIA World Factbook 2004. It has maps of all the major nations of the world, flags of nations, and many facts about those nations. It is available in Logos for only 4.95.
Wow, that's one I had overlooked! Too bad it's somewhat outdated. The latest edition is freely available online at the CIA's website: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/. It's a great resource!
Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
