Software runs, but no resources found

I installed Logos 4, but there doesn't seem to be a library at all.  For a few times when I would open the program, it asked for a serial number (which I didn't see anywhere).  After going back to the website and downloading the setup file and doing a "repair", it no longer asks for that.  I still don't get any results for anything I search for.  Am I missing something?

The Library should be downloading and installing Brian.

Please see: http://wiki.logos.com/Getting_Started_with_Logos especially the first section on Installation and indexing.

Write back here with further questions and we'll get you up and running ASAP.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

    Welcome to the Community, Brian

    • what resources or library have you purchased or are you upgrading from L3?
    • how did you install (download or DVD)?
    • what number to you see in the Library Find box

It might help to look at the wiki article on Library and also at this wiki article.

    Welcome [:D]

Wondering if have purchased Logos/Libronix resources ?  Also wondering about number of resources in your Logos Library ?

Logos 4 software is free, but does not include resource files.  Logos 4 installation does prompt for a serial number if not have a Logos.com account (resource licenses are sync'd with Logos.com account).

Logos does have some free resources => http://wiki.logos.com/Free_Logos_Books and http://www.logos.com/products/search?start=0&sort=pricelo&pageSize=15

I purchased Logos 4 Silver and installed from the DVD.  There is a 0 in the find box of the library.

I think this is my problem.  I purchased the software online, which probably created my account using my .edu e-mail.  When I installed, I entered a gmail address.  I went back and re-registered again with my .edu e-mail.  I have probably confused the website, the software, and myself.  I'm not sure what needs to be done to fix it now.  I wish I had seen the resources posted above before I started my installation.  Thanks for your help.  Let me know if there is anything else I can try short of waiting until Tuesday and contacting Logos customer service.  Otherwise, that will be my next step.

    God bless,

    Brian

    Brian,

Let's see if we can sort this out.

Go to the Help question mark in the URH corner of Logos 4 and select About... Is that the .edu or gmail name under which the software has been registered?

Go to Logos.com and if you are not logged in, try logging in under the email account you saw in Logos 4. If you are logged in, log out and log in with the email account you found in Logos 4. Once you do this select Account from the top right of the screen, and go to the Orders tab. Do you see your purchase there? If so, then you should be seeing resources in Logos 4.

If your purchase is not showing under this email account, log off, and try the other one you may have used. Does your order show there? If so, we need to get you to log in in Logos 4 using this account. To do this close Logos 4, then reopen it holding down the CTRL key until a logon screen appears. Log on using the email account that showed the order on the Logos web site. This should trigger a download of your resources.

Get back to us if none of this makes sense or doesn't help.

The software shows the .edu address.  Yesterday, I could see my purchase under the .edu account, but today it is not under either account.  I can't imagine what I could have done to lose that.  I really appreciate everyone trying to help.  When I shut down for the night, I'll likely be offline until Tuesday, so I'll plan on calling Logos.  If I have questions when I get going, though, I certainly know that I can come here!  Hopefully before long I'll be helping others as well.

    God bless,

    Brian

Concur with calling Logos customer service; can discuss Logos.com account options (e.g. could use your .edu address, but change profile contact to .gmail).
