So I get the update ready pop-up for 1kb - yes 1kb....
It appears to have been for the NLT, but now is causing a FULL indexing....
Any ideas on what 1kb can contain to cause a full index? License? Meta? This is crazy! lol
Hi Frank
There was a metadata update to the NLT to fix a problem in morphological searching - this affected both the stable and beta versions.
You can see a couple of threads discussing this at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/33395.aspx and http://community.logos.com/forums/t/33414.aspx
And, yes, a reindex was required after this was downloaded

Note that the Bible Index was separated from the Library Index. This means that your entire library was not reindexed, just your Bible index. Typically the new/changed resource is indexed and then merged with the existing index. Rebuilding the index is the only way Logos can 1) take advantage of the changes for it's tools that reference that work and 2) if it didn't index, those tools could point to the wrong places in the resources (since data inevitably moves when something is added).
It may have been better for Logos to wait to make this 1K fix available until a more substantial download was ready. On the other hand, this fix may be for something Logos deemed more critical. Since we don't know how the decision was made to make this small fix available for download, I'd suggest we give Logos the benefit of the doubt on the wisdom of doing this.
Resource updates (it cannot be any of the others) can be very small as they are patches. The (small) NLT update happened on May 20th but you can see which resource from Library after you sort on Last Updated.
Why do you think it caused a full index?
Well this was on my desktop that I rarely use Logos on, usually on my laptop, so it could have just been due for the indexing as well. It was not the usual quick index that happens with a small update...
