Confused about results
I did a Bible search on και and came up with totally different results than when I did a Bible word study on the same word. I don't understand what is going on or how to interpret the results? Thanks for your help.
Bible search = 18,538 hits in 5225 verses
Bible Word study = 9018 hits in 5134 verses. Also, , density graph is showing 9082 hits??

On my PC, the Bible search gives 9,272 results. It looks as though yours is double-counting. As it appears to be a Mac problem, it might be an idea to ask on the Mac forum if no other Mac users wander over to General.
Regarding the 9018 results. That's in an edition of the Greek New Testament (probably NA27), so it's not going to be identical count to the KJV. But why the spark graph is different again has got me stumped. Perhaps someone else can help with that one.

I get the same, obviously incorrect, results in L4 Mac. This would require an average of more than 3 uses per verse.

Please note that this 9018 hits are New Testament only. The first book in that cluster graph is Matthew.
Received nearly identical results using the ESV. Since Mark got half as many hits in L4 Win, this must be a Mac problem.
Did you post this in the L4 Mac forum?

BTW: Which version of L4 are you using?

I could swear that I read somewhere that there is a mac problem with double counting. I think it had something to do with the reverse interlinears.
I did a search for [greek:λόγος] and double results came up as well.
A search in the SBLGNT results in half as many hits.

Replied to Bug: Incorrect word count Bible search for kai
Option: could prioritize Scrivener 1881 to be # 1 Greek New Testament, then Bible Word Study Textual Search results in New Testament will be same as KJV 1900 (having 9,272 results in 5,225 verses for lemma:καί search).
