Installing on second computer

I have one install on my laptop and now want to install on my desktop. I have downloaded L4 and stopped the download, but after 2% and then let it index. Can I just copy the resources and index files from my laptop over to shorten the download and index time?

"Just copy" no.  However, you can copy your resources from the laptop onto a network or other external drive, and then follow DominicM's advice here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/3193.aspx

This will avoid having to re-download the resources.  As for indexing, I am not aware of anyone who has gotten just copying the index to work.
