PB Bible Notes File

The following link is for a file designed to allow a user to create notes that scroll with their bible. Milestones are included for each verse. It's designed to be a starting place. I really want to put a "(edit note)" link after each verse which would open up The Word document to the correct location. If someone can think of a way to do this so that the link survives the Building process please let me know.

Halo, this is a fantastic piece of work! Very useful. I can see myself using this (or whatever updated versions you come up with) a lot.
As to your question, I'm not sure...

I'm glad you see some potential! I've updated the file to make it easier to navigate, especially when working it within Word. Basically, to get to any verse, do the following WHILE HOLDING DOWN CTRL
1. Press Home
2. Click on the Book Name
3. Click on the Chapter Number
4. Click on the Verse number.
That process will get you from anywhere to anywhere pretty quickly.

I like the fact you get the TOC in Logos with the books and chapter.
The linking works well.
I'm debating in my head whether I'd use one big document or split it up for each book of the bible. Now we can use multiple files in Logos it would not impact the end result. But I sometimes find it easier working with smaller word documents.

splitting it up should be pretty easy once I'm done doing my tweaking. I can certainly see the benefit of smaller files. I should have an update pretty soon that has a Passage guide, exegetical guide, explorer and cited by link for each passage.

that will be cool.

I've gotta run but I'm building the book in L4 now, so I havn't tested this out. But I figured I'd throw it out there anyway :-) each verse has a passage guide, exegetical guide, explorer, and cited by link. This could be a good method for managing saved guides.

I was thinking especially for lectionaries - but I'm still working to get a commentary linked to a specific Bible to work. It might be that I should consider the file the Notes portion of a study Bible if I can figure that out. Once I have that figured out I'll be ready to test my lectionary idea.

unfortunately I'm not too familiar with lectionaries, but I'm game to help out in any way possible.

I've hit a brick wall with what I can add to this to give it additional value which means its probably close to ready for use. It does seem to be too large a Word document to work with as actions can take a while to process. What division would you have in mind for it? I think one document for each book is overkill. I'm thinking the typical divisions.
- Gen-deu
- josh-esther
- job-song
- isaiah-daniel
- hos-mal
- matt-acts
- rom-phil
- heb-rev
Of course my typical division may be different from other typical divisions so let me know what you think.
