Verso Versus Logos iPhone App
Can someone tell me what is the relationship between Verso and the Logos iPhone APP? I notice that Verso seems to have way less features, so why would anyone want to go with Verso? Am I missing something?

Vyrso (not "Verso"), is a new reading app which is in a pre-release state. Logos is in the process of launching a new website which will feature thousands of "trade" books - like the ones you would find at the local Christian Book Store. Vyrso is not designed for "study," but for reading. While you may prefer the Logos app, others might be intimidated by it. For reading purposes, either app is just fine.

Thanks Alabama for the response. I don't know about the rest of the Logos users but, when I read, I like to do two things. I like to highlight and I like to share. By sharing I mean send a quote that I find to my Twitter followers or to an email address or to Evernote. I never "just read." The Logos app has come a long way in that regard and for that reason I am now using it, whereas when it first came out I couldn't use it because it lacked these capabilities. I hope logos plans to continue developing the App for future improvements.

1. Bob has said that highlighting is "coming soon." This was several months ago, and for many of us, "soon" can't come quickly enough!
2. The two apps share much of the same code, and the development of the one does not greatly detract from the other.
3. As I alluded to before, Vyrso is for a much wider demographic. When I say "trade" books, this includes "Left Behind" and (cough) those Amish romance novels.
I like to highlight and share from my books as well. I hope with you that the App will get a turbo boost in this area in the near future! [Y]

So if I have the Android Beta on my phone there is no use of having Vyrso on my phone too unless I want to read and buy a different set of books? Will Logos read the same books?

Both the Logos and Vyrso Apps are able to view the mobile enabled resources from Logos. This includes both Logos and Vyrso books. Or to put it another way, both apps can view the same books.
The Vyrso app is designed to be primarily a reader, whereas the Logos app is a study companion to Logos 4. Later this year, Logos hopes to open a "Vyrso" store, where 25,000+ trade books can be purchased. Again, these purchases will be available on both apps.

I've found that Barnes & Noble sell the same books for the nook iphone app for a LOT less money than the Vyrso price, though.

I think Logos is on a good path reaching a wider audience by offering trade books. However, I would like to see the "trade books" priced more competitively.

Logos has not launched the store yet, so it is difficult to know where pricing will land. When Logos first opened the pre-release store, I checked prices on all the books and found most of them were "in the ball park" with the largest competitor. Some companies are known for "lost leaders" meaning that they take a loss on a product to create loyal, repeat customers. Also, to consider, is that many publishers are moving towards a model where the publisher themselves set the prices. If this trend continues, it will not matter what the other guys sell it for... Logos will sell it for the same.
