I get this message in the "Basic" search window even though my library is NOT being indexed. My last downloads were on Thursday.
What release of L4 are you running? I ask this because there was an issue with 4.2a that was fixed with SR3. If you have not updated to SR3 then I would suggest doing so; or even considering 4.3RC3 on the beta channel.
If you are running 4.2a SR3 then refer to this thread http://community.logos.com/forums/p/36059/270675.aspx
4.2b SR-1
Enable permanent logging. If this still occurs after a restart of the computer and with no sign of indexer activity (high CPU with blue Logos icon showing) then upload the logos4.log and logos4indexer.log.
I am running 4.2 SR1. How do you get SR3? I checked update now, and it shows that there are no updates. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance
Hi Steven
I am running 4.2 SR1. How do you get SR3?
Fred was referring to 4.2a SR3 whereas Michael was referring to 4.2b SR1
Assuming you are running 4.2b SR1 then this is the most uptodate stable release for Windows.
(There was a 4.2b SR2 but this was for Mac only)
So I think you are running the most current stable version hence no updates.
Hope this makes sense
Graham
Thanks, Graham. Makes perfect sense. [Y]
Fred was referring to 4.2a SR3
I should have said "4.2a SR3 or later". It was 4.2a SR3 that had the original bug Michael has a problem with.
Thanks for clarifying that for me Graham
No problem.
Michael,
Have you made any progress with this?
Yes, "rebuild index" command did just that. I had to change my laptop's power settings to not sleep when plugged in to get the job done.
Good! Thank you for responding.
