Need to add verses on the handouts

I'm new to Logos and I have a couple of questions about the handouts. I have loved using these for my small group bible study but the one thing missing is the verse references. Is there a way to make these display along with the text. It would really help everyone to follow along much better. Also, can any of the layouts be done in one column instead of two? I like the two columns but occasionally would like to have it in one column depending on what else i'm puting in the the handout.

handouts are pretty inflexible in their current iteration.  I was unable to quickly open one up and get a one column format either (even though I have a dim recollection of doing one in that format a year or so ago.  Then again, I may have exported the graphics and done it in another application.)
