After upgrading, the paragraph justification becomes rather odd, both for English and Chinese. Seems to have spread the whole line with odd inter-word spacing.
How to rectify this?

Go to the 'ven diagram' symbol and un-tick 'bible text only.
Thanks Mike, it works. But then what would I have missed if I "un-tick" the bible text only?

"Bible Text Only" is a feature that removes things like pericope headings (i.e. "Jesus Walks On Water"), translation notes, cross references, and paragraph breaks.

Just to make sure we understand one another... When the "Bible Text Only" box has a checkmark (as you can see in Mike's screen shot), it removes pericope headings, translation notes, cross references, and paragraph breaks. When it is unchecked, those things will appear. If you want them ("indeed I'm missing something"), then uncheck the box.
Your original screen shot looks to me like you have "Bible Text Only" checked. Some translations seem to have a more difficult time than others with justification and such.
