Rule of St. Benedict - 1949 translation
Attached is a quick docx for the Rule of St. Benedict.
Known issues
1) additions to Daniel are not tagged
2) The translation uses the LXX numbering for the Psalms - while I have added tags to the way just about all bibles number them today, the LXX numbering still creates many links.

Are you aware that Logos has this as an available resource? Might have saved you a whole lot of work! *smile*

OPPS! I wasn't aware... I had it as a pbb back in Libronix 3.0 and it was an easy way to play with the new builder while working on tougher ones.

You probably want to edit your first post and remove the DOCX file so that you will not tempt those who do not own this to illegally download it.
Exactly what is illegal here? It's a different edition than Logos has, and as far as I can understand it's Public Domain. At least CCEL says so.

To the best of my knowledge, it is legal. That said, if Logos doesn't want a free inferior product to compete with their standard version, I have nothing at all against removal of my file upon Logos's request. We are using their servers for this.

i could be wrong here....
But as in another post for Copyright for Electronic Media, i checked the U.S. Copyright rules which had PDFs for the copyright rules, it stated that an author's copyright was in effect until they had been dead 70 years. It had other parts which were ammended in 1978 which moved the copyright for those out to 2067.
Even in the date on the title page of his docx it states that its the 1949 edition which would indicate even if the author had died that same year, that 70 years has not elapsed. i searched the internet looking for a copyright info on this works copyright and could not easily locate it. i also noticed that there is an exemption for Non-Profit site that they could display copyrighted works but it still remains illegal to download or store or print those works without the permission of the copyright holder.
It's a different edition than Logos has, and as far as I can understand it's Public Domain. At least CCEL says so.
Also the CCEL has a notice that some books have copyrighted material may be on their site http://www.ccel.org/about/copyright.html
EDIT: It appears that this work is copyrighted per CCEL

We are using their servers for this.
I agree that we shouldn't compete with what Logos sells, but wouldn't it be better to use a neutral web site, than a Logos forum to share files? Like we did on Still Truth and others. Then if someone inadvertently overlooks something Logos sells in a package or plans to sell, it won't seem like such a slap in the face. The store is only to be a place for user created material and not public domain if I understand their policy correctly, and using their website doesn't seem much nicer. Of course if no one agrees or wants to be associated with it, I guess the forum files will work. I had some files to share, but was kind of waiting to see what developed out of this.

I have yet to produce any PBB good enough to share with anyone yet; however I think personally that the forum files can handle this type of sharing right now very nicely -- at least for now!
I really appreciate various brothers (any sisters yet) having shared. There's no way I'm going to make a PBB out of all of them of course! *smile*

Benedict died in 547. I believe that's more than 70 years ago... [;)]

Wrong edition. This is the 1949 edition:

The source I had did not claim copyright, but because I do not wish to compete with Logos, especially on their server, I have removed the file from my post above.

The source I had did not claim copyright,
Sorry, i had no way of knowing which copy of the book that you used from CCEL. So i would like to apologize to you and ask for your forgiveness.
but because I do not wish to compete with Logos, especially on their server, I have removed the file from my post above.
i also would like to commend you on your reasoning and decision.
Thank you for your Honesty!
